About Pilates

Pilates is a series of exercises based on the original work of Joseph Pilates, which focuses on the development of the core postural muscles.

These exercises improve your flexibility, control and strength, body alignment and muscular balance (especially abdominal and back muscles). The technique also concentrates on slow flowing movements, relaxation and co-ordination and is recommended by many physiotherapists, osteopaths and doctors.
